The beloved cinema has officially closed its doors as of June 8th, but don’t worry—something even bigger and more exciting is on the horizon. • EVO Entertainment, a Dallas-based company, purchased the 6.8-acre property the very same day

What’s coming to FM 1093?

• ~70,000 square feet of entertainment space
• 100+ arcade games, laser tag, climbing walls, bumper cars, and gravity ropes
• Full restaurant & bar, plus private event space
• The movie theater will remain, but shrink from 12 screens to 7

Construction is set to begin this summer, with an opening targeted for summer 2027. This new EVO Entertainment venue is poised to become a major destination for families, friends, and anyone looking for fun in Fulshear and the greater Houston area.

My take:

• This concept has proven successful before—just look at Main Event in Katy
• EVO has a strong reputation for creating vibrant, mixed-entertainment venues
• Still, it’s hard not to remember the Palladium off 99 near Westpark—a similar “exciting new entertainment” project that didn’t quite live up to expectations
